Sankeien Garden

last month, taking advantage of the day I went to Yokohama with Arata-kun, we came to the Sankei Garden, a collection of traditional Japanese gardens with a beautiful lots of replicas of traditional houses and a Japanese pagoda, I loved go there after being at the heart of Chinatown, a contrast was 100% after being on the busy Chinese New Year ceremony to go to a place where there was practically no one and no more than listening to the wind.

The gardens are beautiful, perfect to go and spend a quiet afternoon, the trouble is that it is quite clumsy.

These are the views that you are nothing but enter the park, which by the way, the entrance fee is 500 yen and closed at 5 pm (here these things sooner rather close)

The park is quite large and we had time to see it all because they gave us 5 and they put the typical tune of "it's time to go, nice people" ...

This is the pagoda could be seen from the park entrance.

According to the brochure I picked up at the entrance (in Japanese and English), the Sankeien Garden was designed and created by Sankei Hara, a businessman in the silk market. Reconstructed buildings of historical importance of places like Kyoto and Kamakura in this garden, which was opened to the public as "Sankeien garden" in 1906.
In the garden, which occupies an area of \u200b\u200babout 175,000 m2, seventeen old buildings historical value are adapted in perfect harmony with the natural environment of the park.

World War II caused extensive damage, and in 1953 the property was transferred from the Hara family in the care of the Foundation conducted Sankeien Hoshokai.Se hard work of rebuilding and, 5 years later the garden at the end Sankeien was returning to have their original appearance.

And if after reading this someone wants to go up there, from the East exit of Yokohama station, go to the bus stop # 2 and ride in the one with the letreto No. 8 and also the No. 148 and get off at the station "Honmoku Sankeien Mae (about 35 minutes or so) and as you you can probably go down to see some letreto pointing the way, the park is just 5 minutes walk.

And if you want to see the map here podeir see the information pamphlet, brochure

And with that cake .... and I say goodbye, now up study, no exam tomorrow! > _ <

Bye!
